"Trills and Thrills" in Lake George, NY
The program is a music festival in Lake George, NY. Participating in the Trills and Thrills provided the 7-12 Chorus and 7-12 Band with an evaluation of their performances, including taped and written comments, by adjudicators familiar with the abilities of school-aged musicians. This event provided a mixture of music education and fun while motivating each student for months before and after the festival. Most importantly, the adjudicators reinforced the high music standards and New York State ARTS Standards that we at Stockbridge Valley Central School District strive to instill in our students.
Special Thanks:
To our Chaperones!! Mrs.Bartlett, Mrs. Clements, Mr. Healy and Mr. Snyder! Thank you for watching over us and supporting us!!
To our Bus Drivers: Mrs. DeSantis and Mr. Brych. Thank you for getting us to Lake George and returning us safely. SVCS Trasnportation ROCKS!!!
To Irene Wasnik for accompanying the 7-12 Chorus.
SVEF, Inc for the approval of the SVCS Music Department Mini-Grant that is provided the money for both music participation fees and park admission for EACH student. The foundation is a solid rock for the students here at SVCS and we treasurer them. Thank you!!!

You may have heard of Web 2.0. This blog is an example of that. Web 2.0 put simply, is user-generated internet content. I'm generating this content for other users. I got an email today where somebody sent a message to a lot of people about notifications going to the wrong person. I was "lucky" enough to be one of them. Whoever designed this was very creative. People who receive this message are compelled to correspond to try and figure out what's going on. Every time somebody replies to the email, I get a copy of it. Hence, I have decided to call it Spam 2.0, user generated spam. I do wish that people would figure out what's going on, but in the mean time it is an interesting social experiment.

The Stockbridge Valley Girls Softball Team will travel to Cicero North Syracuse on Saturday, June 6 to defend the Class D Championship title. They will play at the Gillette Road Complex at 4:30 pm against former nemesis
Oriskany. The Lady Cougars have competed against the Redskins for the past two years, earning the Class D title last year. Stockbridge Valley defeated Madison on Wednesday with a 2-1 victory to keep their season alive. Oriskany held off a strong come back by Poland to return to the finals. The winner will move on to the NYS playoffs.
Stockbridge will rely heavily on the strong pitching of all-star junior, Cheyenne Bumpus and heavy hitters Andrea Rogers and Breanna Marshall, the teams only senior. Coach Chris Peto has been working several months to prepare the team. Through out the past year they held numerous fundraisers to earn money to travel to Myrtle Beach to compete in a tournament against much larger schools.
Saturday's forecast promises perfect softball weather. Take a break from the yard work, grab your maroon garb (Oriskany is maroon also, so you may want to paint that paw print on your cheek as well) and head out to CNS to cheer on the Stockbridge Valley Girls Softball Team!
