Have some sort of minor medical problem? Have some common household items just laying around? Great news, MSN has compiled seven
home remedies for certain ailments that they claim work. My favorite is the duct tape to cure warts remedy. It just goes to show that duct tape really can fix anything.

A little piece of Australia has been bouncing around Central New York the past few weeks. A
wallaroo escaped its home and has been spotted near the New York State Thruway in Canastota. For many Stockbridge residents, myself included, Canastota is the prefered station to enter the Thruway when traveling west, or exit when returning home. So for those of you traveling I-90 in the next few days, be on the lookout for something you may never see again.

Former Syracuse University and Detroit Pistons guard
Dave Bing was elected Mayor of Detroit for the rest of the year on Tuesday. Needless to say, this will be quite a challenge for Mayor Bing, considering the city's dramatic decline. I'm impressed with his willingness to run for this position, considering the hard work it will take him and those he surrounds himself with in office to turn the city around. I am hopeful the former 'Cuse star has what it takes to save one of America's struggling cities.

Last September a Nielsen Mobile survey revealed that people are now sending more text messages from their cell phones than making calls, according to a
cnet.com report. Isn't this just common sense? Of course people send more texts, because it takes more than one text to have a conversation. For example, I could text a friend to see if they want to catch a movie. They respond "yes, what time?" I tell them "7:15". My friend ends the conversation by saying "c u there." That's four text messages. Had I decided to call, it would only be one phone call. So more texts may be sent, but I feel like the majority of conversations still occur via phone call.
